About Games Week

About

Australia's biggest and best games festival for the people who make and play them.

Games Week is Australia’s preeminent games festival, featuring conferences, events and activities for game enthusiasts, educators, industry experts and general public.

Established by the Victorian Government and running since 2015, Games Week was delivered by Creative Victoria for just over a decade. In 2026, for the very first time, Games Week will be delivered by ACMI.

Games Week aims to:
-        Connect international and local audiences with Australian games studios
-        Highlight the cultural value of games as a creative industry
-        Collaborate with our partners to deliver a cohesive festival that highlights local talent, industry and venues
-        Curate a meaningful and impactful professional program for the games industry
-        Help attendees and event organisers get the most out of participating in Games Week
-        Foster platforms for discovery of emerging creatives and lower barriers to entry for attendees.
