Announcing Big Ant Big Hug

The Big Ant Big Hug means that Big Ant will kindly be paying for ALL GCAP tickets for all attendees.

Recognising the challenges many game developers are facing, Big Ant approached IGEA, the organiser of GCAP, with this generous offer as a way to offer support to the Australian games industry.

“It’s been a really tough year, especially for those of us living in Victoria” says Ross Symons, CEO of Big Ant.  “GCAP and Melbourne International Games Week are a highlight for all of us as we get to catch up with our friends and colleagues from all over the world. While we can’t do that in person this year, GCAP 2020 allows us to connect virtually and it is important we attract as many attendees as possible so they can network, meet new people and hear some of the great talks being offered over the course of 3 days. It feels like the best way to support the industry right now is to buy them a ticket to attend this year’s event. Consider it a virtual hug.”

Ron Curry, CEO of IGEA added, “Ross and his team are famous for their generosity and support across the Australian games industry. The Big Ant Big Hug makes GCAP accessible for so many additional attendees and we can’t thank Big Ant enough for their incredibly generous support. Along with Ross and his team, we’d like to thank all of GCAP 2020’s sponsors and supporters of the event. IGEA is consistently blown away by the Australian industry and their desire and commitment to help other Australian developers succeed.”
