Melbourne International Games Week (MIGW) is thrilled to unveil all the exciting details for Big Games
Night Out 2024. From 3pm ‘til late on Thursday 10 October, Fed Square will transform into a
games-themed wonderland, celebrating the 10th birthday of MIGW!
This year’s event promises an unforgettable experience with a stellar lineup of hosts and performances, including Montaigne, Tijka, DJ Soju Gang, Melbourne icon The Bass in Vader, and Megan McKeough from RRR’s Zero G, plus games-themed food and drink from Mabu Mabu, Beer Deluxe and ‘Blaktasia’ inspired Son In Law Fairy Floss.
The night will feature the global premiere of ‘Blaktasia: Invasion of The Murk’ – the debut game from
Naarm-based, Aboriginal-led studio GUCK slated for release in early 2025. Blaktasia is a free, accessible, and educational mobile game adventure about restoring the bush with native animal encounters in a First Nations fantasy world informed by Country. An unforgettable, history-making launch, Fed Square’s façade will be lit up with large-scale, mesmerising projections of the game, providing an exclusive peek into the magical world, characters, and incredible story of the Blaktasia Universe in a live, interactive experience.
