MIGW 2025 Steam Festival Applications now open for all Australian creators

Include your game in the MIGW Steam Page Festival

Melbourne International Games Week (MIGW) welcomes applications from Australian game developers who wish to include their game in this year’s MIGW Steam Page Festival.

The MIGW Steam Page Festival curated by Creative Victoria, is a showcase of Australian-made games using the Steam platform. The curator and sales page will be live and promoted from 1 October through 12 October 2025.

Applications undergo review and Creative Victoria reserves the right to reject a game if unsuitable. Final participants will be chosen on merits and suitability. Feedback can be provided to unsuccessful applicants.

Preference is given to games that are:

  • Innovative
  • Distinctive
  • Positively represent the Australian games sector

Important Dates

  • MIGW 2025 Steam Page Festival: 1 October through 12 October 2025
  • Steam Page Applications due: 1 August 2025
  • Game discount cool-off period: 30 days either side of your game discount, which may abut Steam’s Autumn Sale and/or Halloween Sale

MIGW takes no responsibility for any changes to Steam’s discount cool-off policy, or any other factor that may impact the nature of participation with the MIGW 2025 Steam Page Festival.

Participation & Eligibility

Successful applicants will be notified by email within two weeks of your application submission.

All successful applicants are required to agree to the following stipulations:

  • You agree to have your game included on the MIGW Steam Page Festival, with Creative Victoria     and MIGW branding
  • You commit to the content of your included game being in line with the MIGW Code of Conduct and Steam Page Content Guidelines, meaning the game will be free of all forms of harassment and bullying for everyone regardless of age, gender identity, disability, physical features, political belief or activity, race, religious belief or activity, sex, sexual orientation, or any other protected attribute. If you have questions about what this means regarding the content of your game, please reach out at games@creative.vic.gov.au to discuss
  • You agree to participate in a post event evaluation.

It is not mandatory for participating games to participate with a discount concurrent to the MIGW Steam Page Festival, but games with discounts will be more prominently featured on the page.

Demos for games are highly encouraged.

All games made by studios or individual developers who are headquartered in Australia are eligible to apply. There is no cost to participate.
