Games Week launches the inaugural Film Program at ACMI & Fed Square.
For the first time, Games Week will bring together the worlds of games and cinema with a program of screenings presented across ACMI and the main stage at Fed Square. Celebrating the shared creative space between film and games, the program explores the convergence of these mediums and how they enhance the storytelling experience. The program spans genres and generations, from cult 1990s game adaptations to documentaries and game-inspired horror titles.
A featured session, The Design of DREDGE, will include a special screening followed by a post-screening Q&A with Nadia Thorne and Joel Mason from Black Salt Games. Joined by Lena Moon, the conversation will explore the development journey behind DREDGE, from overcoming creative challenges to building a genre-defining game and looking ahead at what’s next for one of the most exciting development teams in the world.
ACMI Members will receive first access to book seats for Games Week Film Program screenings, with tickets available free for Mob Members.
