11 August 2026: GCAP 2026 is set to have the conversation about the years to come and how best to nurture the green shoots sprouting up across the industry including new studios, new games, new creatives and new production methods.
GCAP will unite games practitioners towards our shared future.
To celebrate GCAP’s 20th year anniversary, IGEA is giving away 20 free GCAP Assist tickets to facilitate GCAP access for under-represented and/or marginalised communities from across the Australian games industry.
This initiative is perfectly suited for applicants from all backgrounds, particularly from people who are currently under-represented and/or those with identities marginalised in the games industry including but not limited to; women (Cis and Trans), Queer people, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, gender diverse individuals (transgender, non-binary, intersex), people from a lower socioeconomic background, and people of colour. GCAP is committed to nurturing industry and helping to develop more diverse pipelines within the industry.
GCAP Assist is also open to those who may have been affected by industry layoffs in the past year.
Successful applicants will receive a full complimentary ticket to attend all 3 days of GCAP and entry to The AGDAs. GCAP will be held in-person at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) from 5 – 7 of October as part of Melbourne International Games Week (MIGW).
We’re looking for well thought-out applications with a description of yourself and how you intend to make the most of attending GCAP.
You must be over the age of 18 and living in Australia.
Applications will close by COB 28 August 2026.
All applicants will be notified of the outcome by the 7th of September.
