Dating Roulette

Dating Roulette

Estonian comedian 'imrovises' her way through dating.

Olga Loitsenko is the only foreigner to stay single after being in Australia for five entire years. Not to mention she hails from Estonia, the land of Skype. Surely her phone should be buzzing with guys wanting to meet, but so far her love life has been disconnected.

In Dating Roulette, stand-up comedian Olga returns to the stage to share her personal journey of dating in Australia. She delves into why she hasn’t dated in Melbourne and how after much therapy she feels like she’s finally in the place to start dating.

Each night, Olga will invite a special guest comedian to join her on stage, along with a team of improvisers, to play games and act out dating scenarios - all for the sake of helping Olga prepare for her official dating debut. If you’ve ever dated, been in a relationship or spent an embarrassing amount of time daydreaming about a crush, then Dating Roulette is for you.

It’s the perfect epilogue to Olga’s previous show, Temporary Visa Holder, which Olga performed in 2023 at Melbourne Fringe, Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Sydney Fringe. The show was not only funny but helpful for other temporary visa holders (please note: Olga’s stand-up should not be taken as legal migration advice.)

ABOUT OLGA Since debuting her solo show Olgavision at the 2022 Melbourne Fringe, where she tackled mental health through song, dance and Eurovision Olga has been trying to bring together different styles of comedy into one show. In 2023, Olga co-created the line-up show Comedy Roulette where stand-up comedians spin the wheel to get a prompt to come up with a new bit on stage which inspired her to produce her own game show. She is currently mentored by multi-talented comedian, TV and radio presenter, celebrant, speaker Annie Louey.
