This World of Mine.

This World of Mine.

This World of Mine is a video game created by a non-gamer. Maxine never played video games growing up, she instead discovered her interest in game design while making interactive and sensory theatre at University... in lockdown. In this simple game, you, the player, will be taken on a journey between two worlds: reality, and the world inside your head. Both can be overwhelming, it’s easy to trip and fall into the other, but both can be beautiful, if given the chance.

"This world of mine moves quickly, so fast I can’t see clear
The changing shapes are blurring, through every forming tear.
I keep on running faster, I cannot feel my feet
I know this feeling comes before a tumbling retreat
At first my toes get tired, and cannot lift up high
My knees will try to carry them, despite their drooping eyes
With every melting step, I fall a little deeper
Into my tiny hideaway behind my glassy peepers"

Although Maxine has never coded anything before, and most computers crumble in her presence, she is a chronic daydreamer and has been building this world in her mind for at least 2 years, so she’s confident it will all go exactly to plan.
