Arca Arcade is a convergence of nostalgic technology and contemporary art.

Now showing at Carlisle Street Arts Space, the exhibition transforms arcade machines into art, bringing classic gaming favourites to life.

Under the direction of designer Preston Khan McNeil, playable arcade machines become wall mounted installations; adorned by te ao Māori influences and styles of Aotearoa New Zealand's eminent artists.

Having toured across Aotearoa New Zealand and into regional Victoria, this special iteration of Arca Arcade at Carlisle St Art Space features guest local artist Jarra Karalinar Steel, expanding the narrative of cultural expression through games.

Arca Arcade runs from 6 August - 30 October.
