Create 3D Art for Games
What goes into creating the characters, objects and worlds you see in modern video games? In this hands-on workshop, get introduced to the fundamentals of 3D art and discover how artists create models, characters, props and environments for games. Explore the creative possibilities of 3D, from building objects and environments to experimenting with different modelling and sculpting techniques. You'll get hands-on experience creating your own 3D game asset while learning how 3D art fits into the wider game development process. Whether you're interested in creating detailed characters, imaginative environments or something completely different, this workshop is a great introduction to the world of 3D creation for games. No previous 3D modelling or game development experience required, just bring your creativity and ideas! Join us on-site at campus or participate online via livestream. Our hybrid delivery approach allows you to follow along, participate in the workshop and ask questions directly to our mentors, including experienced professionals who have worked in the Australian games industry. Learn more about how people are learning game development for free, with the Victorian Government providing free game development education through the FREE TAFE scheme.
