Build 3D Worlds with Low Poly Art

Ever wondered how games like Minecraft and Stonehearth create worlds from simple shapes?

In this hands-on workshop, discover the fundamentals of 3D voxel modelling and learn how simple blocks can become characters, props and entire game environments. Explore how voxel-based art can be used to create distinctive visual styles while keeping the modelling process accessible for beginners.

You’ll get hands-on experience creating your own 3D game assets and learn how these skills can be used as part of a wider game development workflow.
No previous 3D modelling or game development experience required,  just bring your creativity and ideas!

Join us on-site at campus or participate online via livestream. Our hybrid delivery approach allows online participants to follow along, take part in the activities and ask questions directly to our mentors, including experienced professionals who have worked in the Australian games industry.

Learn more about how people are learning game development for free, with the Victorian Government providing free game development education through the FREE TAFE scheme.
